The Alumni and Development Office (ADO) and the Career Development Centre of the Student Affairs Office (SAO-CDC) co-organized an alumni sharing session titled “Alumni Chat Hour – Education” recently. Alumna Sio Man Leng, who has 40 years experiences in early childhood education, was invited to share her teaching experiences and employment information with students interested in working in the education sector after graduation.
Teresa shared her teaching experiences, job interview tips, skills to cope with the working environment, challenges, teacher-student relationships, as well as the employment information of the education sector with the students. She advised that students should equip themselves constantly with relevant professional expertise and always being passionate at work.
Teresa graduated from the Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction programme in 2015. She is currently a teaching consultant and a part-time study room inspector at local primary schools and kindergartens. In addition, she also serves as a curricular internship tutor of FED in academic year2020/2021 and a mentor of the “2020/2021 Alumni Mentorship Scheme”.
