A delegation from Hua Chang Sino-Luso Industry Development Company Ltd. visited the University of Macau (UM) recently. Members of the delegation included Mr. Jorge Valente, Chairman; Mr. Danny Chau and Ms. Elaine Wong, Executive Directors; and Mr. Simon Ho, Consultant. The delegation visited Institute of Microelectronics (IME) and State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI (AMS-VLSI) and was warmly received by Prof. Rui Martins, Vice Rector (Global Affairs) and Director of IME; Prof. Elvis Mak, Deputy Director (Research) of IME; Prof. Terry Sin, Deputy Director (Academic) of IME; Ms. Cindy Lam , Director of Alumni and Development Office. Prof. Rui Martins and Prof. Elvis Mak introduced the latest research development of IME, including the cutting-edge research outcome of a rapid test kit “Virus Hunter” that was developed with UM’s patented technology. The delegation also visited Institute for the Development and Quality, Macau (IDQ-Macau) and met with Prof. Tam Lap Mou, Chairman; Mr. Carlos Costa, Director; Dr. Li Ke and Dr. Guo Da Wei, Engineers.
