The Alumni Development Office (ADO) and Career Development Centre (CDC) jointly organized a Zentangle® workshop and tea gathering session on 23 January 2021 (Saturday) for the“2020/2021 Alumni Mentorship Scheme”, which aims to foster communication and mutual learning between alumni mentors and student mentees.

The Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT) alumna Eugenia Chan (Class of 1998, BSc in Software Engineering) was invited to the workshop to share the Zentangle drawing techniques. Eugenia briefly introduced the origin of Zentangle, the basic patterns and the drawing tools to the participants and teach them how to draw. The drawing process helps the participants to relax themselves and experience the meditative state of mindfulness. Apart from the workshop, some mentors and mentees joined the tea gathering session to share their thoughts and ideas with each other.

“Alumni Mentorship Scheme” aims to encourage alumni to give back to their alma mater while creating opportunities for students to learn more about society. Alumni mentors and student mentees will be invited to join the closing ceremony in early March 2021.
