The University of Macau (UM) Office of Sports Affairs (OSA) held the 2020-2021 UM Sports Awards Presentation Ceremony on 18 May to commend outstanding student athletes and university sports teams for their excellent performance and contributions, as well as to thank sports scholarship donors for their support. The total amount of sports scholarships for this academic year has increased from MOP 270,000 to MOP 290,000. This year, 16 UM students and three university sports teams received sports scholarships, and 27 coaches received certificates of appreciation. Although UM sports teams’ participation in competitions was affected by the pandemic this year, they still won 69 gold medals, 60 silver medals, and 54 bronze medals in the 2020/2021 academic year.
