In accordance to the collaboration protocol between BNU, University of Macau(UM) and University of Macau Development Foundation (UMDF), the bank has donated MOP750,000 to the UMDF to support UM’s long-term academic development and talent cultivation initiatives.
The cheque presentation ceremony was held on 18 May 2026 at the BNU University of Macau Branch, officiated by Dr. Lam Kam Seng Peter, Chair of the Trustees Committee of UMDF; Prof. Yonghua Song, Rector of UM Prof. Rui Martins, Vice Rector of UM; Ms. Cindy Lam, Director of the Alumni and Development Office of UM; Mr. Carlos Cid Alvares, Chief Executive Officer of BNU; Mr. Sam Tou, Executive Director of BNU; Mr. Francisco Chan, Head of BNU Community Banking; Ms. Kate Leong, Head of Large Corporate Division of BNU amd Ms. Rita Neto Ferrão, Head of BNU Customer Engagement, Branding & Communication Area
UM thanked BNU for the continued support to its development, and will continuously push for Macau’s local teaching and research work, as well as strengthening the cultivation and development of local talent and professionals.
