On September 16, 2023 (Saturday), the University of Macau (Shenzhen) Alumni Association (UMSZAA) held its 2023 Annual General Meeting and Gala Dinner in Shenzhen. The event includes annual work report of the association and the inauguration of the new board members, over a hundred alumni and guests attended the event.
Ms. Cindy Lam, Director of the Alumni and Development Office (ADO), was invited to attend and delivered a speech at the dinner. She sincerely thanked the board members for their selfless dedications, who have committed themselves in organizing various alumni activities, assisting the Alma Mater to bring together UM alumni who work and stay in the GBA, fully leveraging the association’s role as a bridge between alumni and the Alma Mater. She also hoped that the association would continue to stay connect with ADO and work together to promote the development of alumni affairs and the spirit of giving back to the Alma Mater.
Visit to Local Enterprises
In the afternoon of that day, led by alumnus Peng Xingqiang, representatives from ADO and members from other alumni associations visited to a local enterprise: Huawei Digital Power Antuoshan Headquarters, where alumnus Peng serves. Antuoshan Headquarters serve as the headquarters and research base of Huawei Digital Power. Through visits to its digital power exhibition hall and modules, alumni have increased their understandings of the company’s advance technologies and application scenarios in energy digitalization and construction of smart cities.
The annual general meeting and visit to the Huawei Digital Power Antuoshan Headquarters were meaningful, as alumni and representatives from different associations can take this opportunity to communicate face-to-face, deepening their mutual understanding and learning from each other, as well as providing a platform to promote cooperation among the alumni associations.
