On November 16th, 2024 (Saturday), the University of Macau (Shanghai) Alumni Association (UMSHAA) held an Alumni Gathering in Shanghai, together with an Orientation Activity and the launch ceremony of the Alumni Mentorship Scheme. UMSHAA reported on its past work and activities, and welcomed the new members of the association with the launch of the Alumni Mentorship Scheme. The program aims to help UM alumni who are starting to settle down in Shanghai, with experience alumni in different fields as mentors, to provide support and guidance to alumni trainees.
Ms. Cindy Lam, Director of the Alumni and Development Office (ADO) thanked the UMSHAA for its support to Alma Mater by organizing diverse activities to connect alumni and unite the alumni community. She hoped that in the future, the association would continue to act as a bridge to integrate the alumni who are working and living in Shanghai and surrounding places. By building a collaborative and sharing platform, the association will promote the development of Alma Mater.
Afterwards, a Q&A session was held with the alumni to deepen their understanding of ADO and the development of the university through the Q&A session. Let us look forward to the next gathering and we cordially invite our alumni back to visit the Alma Mater more often in future!
