The “2021/2022 Alumni Mentorship Scheme” (AMS), which was co-organized by the Alumni and Development Office (ADO) and the Career Development Centre (CDC), has officially kicked off in October 2021 with an online opening ceremony. In order to foster communications between mentors and mentees, ADO and CDC organized a group activity titled “The Ecological Visit to the Wetlands at Seac Pai Van” on 20 November 2021 (Saturday), which aims to provide them opportunities to explore Macao’s natural scenery and learn from each other through this outdoor activity.
Representative of Municipal Affairs Bureau introduced the landscape, different species of plants and insects, as well as the conservation works of the wetlands to mentors and mentees. They expressed that this meaningful activity had not only provided them opportunities to understand the greenery resources in Macao, promoting the importance of environment conservation and the caring attitude towards the ecology, but also let them to relax themselves, share ideas and experiences with each other to enhance mutual understanding, both parties were looking forward to seeing each other in the upcoming group activity.
“Alumni Mentorship Scheme” aims to encourage alumni to give back to their alma mater through giving advice, and sharing their work and life experiences with the mentees. Moreover, it also creates opportunities for mentees to broaden their social networks through communicating with mentors from different professional sectors. This year, the scheme runs from October 2021 to January 2022. During the period, mentors and mentees will be invited to join a series of exciting group activities to enhance their engagement in the scheme.
