The closing ceremony of the “2021/2022 Alumni Mentorship Scheme”, which was co-organized by the Alumni and Development Office (ADO) and the Career Development Centre (CDC), was held on 26 February 2022 (Saturday) in the auditorium of UM Library. This year, more than 120 alumni and students were matched successfully based on their backgrounds and interests. The scheme provided opportunities for alumni mentors (mentors) and student mentees (mentees) to meet regularly and share experiences with each other to foster friendships.
At the ceremony, Dean of Students, Mr. Paul Pang gave a speech to appreciate everyone’s contributions to the scheme and encourage students to learn from their mentors. Director of ADO, Ms. Cindy Lam also expressed her gratitude to the mentors who dedicated their time to help the alma mater to cultivate students and hoped that this mentoring relationship could turn into lifetime friendships afterwards. Apart from the appreciation certificates to all mentors and mentees, the “Outstanding Mentees” award was also presented to three mentees at the ceremony. The award was given to Liu Hai Chuan, Luo Zhan and Wang Zhibo by their mentors Ms. SAM Mai Lin, Mr. Tou Chan Kao and the Section Head of Student Counselling Section, Mr. Elvo Sou respectively.
