The University of Macau Alumni Association (AAAUM), the University of Macau (Shanghai) Alumni Association (UMSHAA) and the University of Macau (Shenzhen) Alumni Association (UMSZAA) Organizing Committee had called fund-raising campaigns for donating epidemic prevention materials to the alma mater in late March. The alumni associations had successfully purchased epidemic prevention materials such as medical facemasks, thermal detectors, alcohol-based hand sanitizers and disinfectant sprays and arranged delivery to alma mater on 17 April. Led by the Chairman of AAAUM, Dr. Ao Peng Kong, Supervisor of AAAUM, Ms. Wong Sio Mei and President of AAAUM, Mr. Kot Man Kam¸ the delegation and the material were received by Vice Rector (Global Affairs), Prof. Rui Paulo da Silva Martins, Director of Alumni and Development Office (ADO), Ms. Cindy Lam and Dean of Students, Mr. Paul Pang.
The alma mater expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the alumni associations for their sense of belonging to the alma mater and enthusiastically assisted the alma mater’s epidemic prevention and class resumption preparation works; as well as AAAUM’s assistance in coordinating the delivery of epidemic prevention materials to the alma mater. The donation campaigns had fostered the strengths and connection of alumni, promoted the spirit of giving back, exemplified their care to the alma mater and the spirit of cooperation among different alumni associations.
