Qiao Xiaoyang, former Chairman of the Legal Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC) and University of Macau’s (UM) honorary doctorate recipient, recently visited UM. Qiao said that this was his first time visiting UM as an alumnus and he praised UM for its development in recent years.The delegation was warmly received by UM University Council Chair Lam Kam Seng and Vice Rector Mok Kai Meng. Qiao first visited the UM Gallery. During the visit, Lam introduced UM’s latest developments and said that the university would continue to provide an optimal environment for teaching and research for its faculty members and students to further enhance technological innovation and talent cultivation. Qiao then visited UM’s Faculty of Law (FLL) to meet with FLL representatives. Tong Io Cheng, Dean of FLL, expressed his gratitude to Qiao for his contribution to the Faculty’s development.
