“2025/2026 Alumni Mentorship Scheme”  was officially launched in September. Two group activities were held in October and November: the TCM & Big-Health Industry Workshop and the Coffee Tasting Workshop. These activities provide a platform for interaction and exchange among the mentors and mentees, enabling them to inspire one another and grow together through immersive experiences as they explore knowledge across diverse fields, thereby deepening their mentor-mentee relationships.

The TCM & Big-Health Industry Workshop was held at the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE). Participants gained a deeper understanding of TCM products through sharing by a traditional Chinese physician, a tour of the Aromatherapy Exploration Hall, and experience of customizing aroma bags and essential oils. The coffee tasting workshop was held on the UM campus. A local barista demonstrated brewing skills and led a practical session, allowing participants to experience coffee culture.

The workshops enabled the mentors and mentees to share their interests and habits, as well as experiences and insights from their personal lives, work, and studies through interaction, thereby strengthening the bonds of friendship among them.

“Alumni Mentorship Scheme” is co-organized by the Alumni and Development Office (ADO) and the Career Development Centre (CDC). It aims to encourage alumni to give back to their Alma Mater through giving advice, and sharing their work and life experiences with the mentees. Moreover, it also creates opportunities for mentees to broaden their social networks through communicating with mentors from different professional sectors.
