The Corporate Experience Scheme has organized visits to two hotels, the Artyzen Habitat Hengqin Zhuhai and the Hotel Central at Macao. Through exploring hotels in both locations, students gained insights into the differences between the hospitality sectors in Hengqin and Macao, as well as the future development prospects of the industry within the Greater Bay Area. This experience will better equip them to plan and prepare for their future career paths.
During the visit of the Artyzen Habitat Hengqin Zhuhai, students gained insights into various elements of the hotel, including its facilities, guest rooms and restaurants. Following that, Zhao Qiuyue, Operations Director of the Artyzen Habitat Hengqin Zhuhai, participated in a Q&A session with students. During this session, she shared her experiences in managing hotel operations and insights into market planning.
The Central Hotel has a significant history in Macau. The students gained valuable insights into the background and development of the hotel during their visit. Following the tour, a sharing session was held. Alumni James Wong (Class of 2007, B.A. in Marketing), Marketing Director and Senior Assistant to the Chairman of Lek Hang Group, shared insights with the students on industry trends, workplace environments, and market dynamics. Drawing from his extensive experience, he patiently addressed their questions, providing invaluable guidance.
The scheme co-organized by the Alumni and Development Office and the Career Development Centre of Student Affairs Office, which provides the opportunities for students to communicate with alumni working in different professionals and visit their working companies to understand the environment and requirement of different industries.
