The “Corporate Experience Scheme” attracted a number of students from different majors to visit the Ant Bank (Macao) Limited. The activity provided students with an opportunity to gain insight into the development, workplace environment and market trends of digital banks in Macao, preparing them well for future employment opportunities.

Students received a warm reception from William Mio (UM Alumnus), General Manager of Business Development, and Ray Chan, Director of Securities Business at Ant Bank (Macao) Limited.

Students were given an introduction to the background and business scope of the company. Consequently, a seminar was held on the topics of “Analysis of the Trend of Macao’s Financial Industry and Employment Prospects” and “Financial Innovation and Technology – Creating a Digital Bank in Macao”. The aim of the seminar was to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the current employment landscape, developmental prospects and future trends of the financial industry in Macao.

The Q&A session was held at the end of the seminar. Alumnus William encouraged the students to equip themselves well during their study period in order to capitalize on the favorable policy development opportunities provided by China and Macao for the financial industry. Ray recommended that students should utilize the university’s extensive network resources, such as participating in school clubs and alumni associations, to cultivate valuable networks that can facilitate personal growth and career advancement.

The scheme co-organized by the Alumni and Development Office and the Career Development Centre of Student Affairs Office, which provides the opportunities for students to communicate with alumni working in different professionals and visit their working companies to understand the environment and requirement of different industries.
