Banco Nacional Ultramarino S.A. (BNU) donated MOP 750,000 to the University of Macau (UM) for supporting its further development. A cheque presentation ceremony was held at UM, chaired by Prof. Yonghua Song, UM Rector; and Mr. Carlos Álvares, BNU Chief Executive Officer.
Other participants in the ceremony included Prof. Rui Martins, Vice Rector (Global Affairs); Prof. Michael Hui, Vice Rector (Academic Affairs) and Interim Director of APAEM; Prof. Jean Chen, Dean of FBA and Ms. Cindy Lam, Director of ADO.
The delegation then visited the UM Wu Yee Sun Library. Dr. Wu Jianzhong, University Librarian led a tour of the ‘Portuguese Corner’, ‘Rare Book Collection Room’, ‘UM Scholars Collection’ and introduced the ‘Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the University of Macau: Documents and Archives Exhibition’. Afterwards, they met with Prof. Jerome Yen, Head of CIE and the incubation teams. The delegation expressed interest in the center’s projects and looked forward to further corporation.
