The “2025/2026 Alumni Mentorship Scheme” officially commenced this September, with an opening activity recently held at the Cafe Rose Garden in UM. As the first meetup activity for alumni mentors and student mentees, a tea reception was organized for them to share their experience in order to deepen their understanding of each other in small group discussions. During the activity, participants gained insight into the program format, the content of the activities, and the roles and responsibilities of mentors and trainees.

“2025/2026 Alumni Mentorship Scheme” attracted over a hundred students and alumni to sign up. Following the alignment of alumni with current students based on their backgrounds and interests, approximately 80 alumni and students were ultimately paired to participate in the program. The scheme consists of alumni with at least three years of work experiences act as mentors. These mentors represent a wide range of industries and professional fields, including finance, education, law, China-PSCs Commerce and Trade, and entrepreneurship.

The scheme runs from September 2025 to January 2026. With the opening activity, a series of group activities will be organized to encourage both mentors and mentees to participate actively in the scheme and to write an amazing chapter full of inspiration and growth.

“2025/2026 Alumni Mentorship Scheme” was co-organized by the Alumni and Development Office (ADO) and the Career Development Centre (CDC). The aims of the scheme is to encourage alumni to give back to their Alma Mater through sharing their valuable life experiences, academic achievements and career experiences with the mentees, it also creates opportunities for mentees to broaden their social networks.
